Conclusion
This web page based assessment has outlined and evaluated how Social Class is one of the biggest influences for creating child poverty and how Social Class can therefore also affect educational achievement, as it is believed there is a strong link between the two. There has been a discussion on some of the key features within socio-cultural studies, including the different approaches, theories and the theoretical frameworks within sociology, to help guide the explanation of why these poverty issues continue to be a problem in modern society.
The evidence provided from the case study and the discussion of theoretical frameworks throughout, has demonstrated an awareness of the dynamic relationship between society and education, identifying the relevant social and cultural contextual factors that are seen to have an impact on educational achievement. The case study has selected and synthesized the contextual factors of a particular area of the country, in order to fully understand the effect that poverty is having on children's achievement in education.
